Privacy policy
This page explains what information Play Minesweeper Online ("the site", "we") collects and why. The short version: you don't need an account, and we don't ask for your name or email to play.
Information stored in your browser
The site saves a few things in your own browser using local storage: your chosen board design, sound and music settings, the last level you played, and your game statistics such as games won and best times. This stays on your device. We can't see it, and it isn't sent to us. You can remove it at any time by clearing your browser's site data.
Analytics
We use two tools to understand how the site is used, for example which levels are most popular and how fast pages load.
- Cloudflare Web Analytics counts visits without cookies and without tracking you across other sites.
- Google Analytics 4 uses cookies to measure visits and how people use the site. In the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland it only runs if you agree to it.
Advertising
The site may show ads from Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies to show ads based on your visits to this and other websites. You can turn off personalised ads in Google's Ads Settings. You can read how Google uses information from sites that use its services on Google's partner sites page.
Your choices
Where the law requires it, a consent message asks before any analytics or advertising cookies are set, and you can change your choice later. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The game works the same either way.
Hosting
The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes basic technical information, such as your IP address, to deliver pages and protect the site from abuse.
Children
The site is suitable for all ages and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
